Adams, who was choosing between Appalachian and a host of others, including Georgia Southern, Georgia State, Marshall and Old Dominion, has been a priority for the Mountaineer coaching staff for quite some time.
The Mountaineers got involved in Adams' recruitment early in the process and stuck with him throughout.
The addition of the three-star receiver provides the Mountaineers with needed size, while also combining big play abilities.
Appalachian State has become known for its ability to recruit big receivers with impact capabilities, the coaching staff is hopeful Adams will be able to fill that role.
When former ASU receivers coach Justin Stepp, who is now with SMU, left the program, Adams did have to reevaluate to a degree. However, he made it clear that his relationships with the rest of the staff were strong enough for it not to have any major impact.
He provided proof of that with his pledge.
Stay tuned for more on Adams' commitment.
