Gregory, a 3-star from Rivals.com had 4 offers as he picked ASU over Old Dominion, Winthrop, and Hampton.

“They’ve just been there for me since the beginning and that just meant a lot to me," he told ASI. "I wanted to get it off my chest before the school season, so that I could be stress free and I could focus on another title run with my teammates.

" I think Appalachian is a great fit for me and a great environment. Coach (Jim) Fox and Coach (Jason) Allison have made that very clear to me.”

Gregory has a high regard for the Appalachian coaching staff.

“I think that they will get the best out of me, they’ve shown love from the start and they made it clear to me that I was a priority,” he said.

He joins J.C. Tharrington, another Charlotte prospect as the Mountaineers’ second hoops commit.
