The recruitment of the class of 2014 could take on two very different tones depending on whether or not Appalachian State remains in the FCS ranks or makes the jump to the FBS. The pending move will determine if the ASU coaching staff has just a few scholarships available or the largest number they have ever had to work with since joining the Mountaineer family.

The uncertainties of what lies ahead for the ASU football program certainly makes recruiting for this class one of the most challenging any coaching staff has faced while in Boone.
