Over the last several years, Appalachian State has grown its level of talent and ultimately created a very productive scout team, dominated by redshirt freshmen that will be capable of competing for time early in their careers.

The 2012 group of freshmen that found themselves working opposite of the Mountaineers' first and second teams all season long have earned an opportunity to fight for a spot in the rotation beginning next spring when the team returns to the practice field.
