Appalachian State will take the field for the final time in the regular season Saturday and as usual, the Mountaineers have a lot on the line. A win over the Furman Paladins will give the Mountaineers a share of the Southern Conference title and will better position them in the upcoming playoffs.

A loss could make things a bit more sticky, as they would drop out of the title race and could potentially be at risk of missing the postseason all together. While that's probably a long shot, a loss would at the very least put the Mountaineers in a position to play in the first round for a second year in a row.
